Effects of the Russian Invasion on the People of Ukraine

On February 24th, 2022 Russia's President Vladimir Putin sent his Army to Ukraine to start invading. Russia's invasion has caused many Ukrainian citizens to leave their homes in Ukraine in fear, causing 118,461+ refugees to flee to Romania.


As some families sit at the border, many other families have gotten separated. At the borders of Ukraine, they aren't letting males ages 18-60 leave Ukraine, because they need them to fight.


Russian Air Raids are killing many civilians in Ukraine. Over one million refugees have fled Ukraine as Russia’s bombardment of key cities in Ukraine gets worse. Russia's President Vladimir Putin says “everything is going to plan”. Additionally, the Ukrainian military has found out that Russia has been using Belarusian territory for missile attacks.


Some Russian Civilians don't understand the Ukraine war as they say, “We didn't choose this.”
