Because of Russia's recent invasion of Ukraine, many people from the U.S and from around the world have been flying to Ukraine to help fight this invasion.
So many people have been flying into Ukraine that it is hard for people who want to go and help to get a ticket to Ukraine. People who want to fight are finding ways to help.
“This is not mercenaries who are coming to earn money,” Ukrainian Major General Borys Kremenetskyi said. “This is people of goodwill who are coming to assist Ukraine to fight for freedom.”
This was said by an official Ukraine officer and you can see that people are going there to help and not for personal gain. Many people already felt that Russia was crossing a line when it all started but since Russia’s forces have started attacking civilians, people have been getting angry.
President Zelenskyy has recently asked for “friends of peace and democracy” to join Ukraine's defense system.
