Harwood Union Middle School Restarts Student Newspaper

by Mrs. Born

After a few years off, the students of Harwood Union Middle School have started writing articles again!

The Harwood Underground, formerly the Harwood Hardcopy, is a digital publication that will be released biweekly by 7th and 8th grade students at Harwood Union Middle School. Mrs. Born serves as faculty advisor to a motivated student staff.

Students are eager to contribute to this publication and share the voice of the middle school, a population often forgotten in the mix of high schoolers.

“It’s going to be a good way for the middle school to be able to be more involved with the Harwood community,” says Tobi Nardin, an 8th grader on the staff.

The student journalists are eager to begin writing. Student journalist Noa Ibson is “excited to write with a purpose” about things she cares about.
